Harvest is upon us! Get involved in the most exciting part of the vineyard’s year – our estate harvest. Join us as we hand pick the Petit Verdot! You will learn what happens behind the scenes and why our wines are so special. We will be harvesting this Saturday, September 14th beginning at 7:00am and expect to last until noon. We will start by explaining how to properly pick the grapes; all grapes are removed by hand to get the highest quality fruit for the wine. Donuts will be available for breakfast; Lunch will be served later in the day and once are finished you will be able to enjoy the “fruits of your labor”!

All volunteers will receive $10/ hour of wine credit (that’s what we call “working for wine”). We recommend wearing rain boots (or something similar), sunscreen, hat, weather appropriate comfortable clothes, and clippers (if you own them).

Please email David@potomacpointwinery.com if you would like to join us this weekend!

*Please note: While harvesting grapes is fun and educational, it is physically demanding and requires long hours on your feet, bending at the waist or squatting down. Harvesting is not recommended for kids under the age of 12. Keep in mind that bees do love grapes, and you will see bees throughout your time in the vineyard.
