The air was crisp, the sky was a perfect blue, and the energy was infectious! This past Saturday, October 18th, 2025, PPW celebrated the heart of the season with our Harvest Party, and what a phenomenal day it was! As one of the premier events celebrating Virginia Wine Month, we brought the best of the harvest season to our vineyard with an unforgettable day of wine, music, food, and family fun.

For those of you who joined us—thank you for making it such a memorable day! For those who missed out, here’s a taste of what made our Harvest Party the perfect way to toast the Virginia wine harvest.

Kick Off Your Shoes for the Main Event: Virginia Grape Stomping!

It wouldn’t be a true harvest celebration without the ultimate tradition: grape stomping! It was a messy, high-energy highlight that truly embodied the spirit of the harvest and the fun of Virginia wine culture.

Taste the Future: Cellar Tours with the Winemaker

One of the most exclusive parts of the day was the cellar tours with the winemaker. Guests had a rare, up-close look at our winemaking process. Even better? They got to taste firsthand newly pressed juices—the very start of the 2025 vintage! It was a fascinating experience that connected wine lovers directly to the journey from grape to glass.

Sips, Bites, and Good Times

The celebration extended across the grounds with a vibrant array of local partners and entertainment:

  • Live Music: A talented local artists kept the atmosphere lively all afternoon, providing the perfect soundtrack for a beautiful fall day at the vineyard.
  • Local Brews: In addition to our estate wines, we were thrilled to feature two fantastic local breweries: Full Distance Brewery and Highmark Brewery, offering something for every palate.
  • Food & Vendors: A delicious food truck and a curated selection of local vendors offered savory eats and unique artisan goods, perfect for a mid-stomp refuel or a keepsake.

‍‍‍ Family Fun on the Lawn

The PPW Harvest Party is truly a family-friendly winery event. Our lawn was transformed into an activity hub with classic entertainment:

  • Lawn Games: The competitive spirit was alive with a huge setup of bocce ball, cornhole, Connect 4, and giant Jenga.
  • Kid’s Game Area: Our younger guests had a blast in their dedicated area, complete with a popular moon bounce and a festive pumpkin decorating station.
