Bridal Glow by Victoria O’Neill provided the stunning artistry for the morning, leaving Allie radiant as she stepped into her elegant mermaid-style gown. Meanwhile, Josh prepared in style, donning a classic black tuxedo that perfectly complemented our estate’s timeless aesthetic.

A Private “First Look” on the Cave Landing

One of the most sought-after features of Potomac Point is our Wine Cave Landing with stunning Italian stone walls. Allie and Josh chose the cave landing for their first look, framed by lush greenery and rustic textures. This intimate moment allowed them to exchange private vows—a growing trend for modern couples who want a quiet moment of connection before the whirlwind of the ceremony.

Honoring Heritage: A Ketubah Signing in the Wine Cave

The outdoor ceremony took place overlooking the vineyard’s rolling hills. As Allie walked down an aisle lined with delicate rose petals, the vines stretched out behind her like a living tapestry.

Officiant Joan Phillips led a heartfelt service that included a symbolic wine blending ceremony. Using our estate-grown Coyote Cave Red and La Belle Vie White, the couple toasted to their two lives becoming one—a perfect nod to their stunning surroundings. The ceremony concluded with the traditional breaking of the glass and a cinematic rose-petal exit.

Tradition Meets Fun: Grape Stomping & Cocktail Hour

Nothing says “Winery Wedding” quite like grape stomping! Allie and Josh fully embraced the vineyard lifestyle, stepping into a barrel to kick off their cocktail hour. It was a highlight for guests, who watched from the sun-drenched patio while sipping custom “The Richards” cocktails.

While guests mingled, the newlyweds escaped for a Private Tower Dinner. This exclusive Potomac Point experience allows couples to enjoy their first meal together overlooking the entire estate in total seclusion.

Golden Hour Portraits & A High-Energy Reception

As the sun dipped below the horizon, photographer Megan Rose captured the couple among the vines. Golden hour at a Virginia vineyard provides a soft, romantic light that is impossible to replicate, resulting in breathtaking portraits.
