Reopening Guidelines for On-site Enjoyment!

Policies & Guidelines for your visit: Phase Three (Updated: July 1st, 2020)

We are excited to welcome you back to Potomac Point Winery & Vineyard.  Your safety and the safety of our staff is our highest priority.  We have put together these policies to create a safe environment for your enjoyment, making for a fun-filled day out of the house.

WINERY HOURS OF OPERATION

We are open for Indoor & Outdoor enjoyment at reduced capacity; available by Reservation Only.

Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 11AM-6PM

Friday, Saturday: 11AM-9:30PM

Monday: 11AM-6PM Wine & Cheese Trays Only (Kitchen Closed)

Tuesday: CLOSED


RESERVATIONS

Reservations can be made for parties of 1-14 guests and require a credit card to reserve your spot.  All Friday-Sunday reservations require a minimum spend of $35 per guest 21 and older; this can count towards food & wine consumed on-site or wine purchased to-go.  Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.  Wine tastings are not available during phase 3.

There are two types of reservations available: Bistro Service & Pre-order Picnic Service (learn more below).  We have several indoor & outdoor dining locations.  Each reservation will receive a 2 to 3-hour timeslot to enjoy (dependent on the size of your group); this will allow multiple guests to enjoy our property each day and permit our staff to appropriately clean each seating area between seating’s.  Upon arrival, please check-in with our hostess, and you will be directed to your reserved seating area.

REQUEST A RESERVATION

PRO TIP: When you originally request a a reservation, you will receive an email & text that says your request is “pending approval”.  Once our reservation specialist has a chance to review our openings, they will send a confirmation email, rejection text, or call to see if you are open to shifting time or location.


BISTRO DINING

  • Our bistro menu will be served in our Courtyard, Veranda, Patio, and indoor D’Vine Lounge; all areas are attached to our facility.
  • Bistro dining will utilize regular china, glassware, and flatware.
  • Wine is available by the bottle, glass, or flight.
  • Please keep in mind we do not permit outside food or alcohol anywhere on property.
  • An 18% auto-gratuity will be added to all orders; only one tab permitted per group.

PICNIC DINING

  • Our gourmet picnic menu will be available in our Picnic Pavilion, Chianti’s Corner, Humidor Hill, and Merlot Meadow; all areas are farther away from our facility.
  • Upon arrival on-site, check-in at the Winery.  Pre-ordered food & wine will be given to you at check-in.
  • Self-service picnic locations include: Picnic Pavilion, Chianti’s Corner, and Merlot Meadow.
    • Additional day-of orders can be placed at the front register.
  • Serviced picnic locations include: Humidor Hill.
  • All picnics must be pre-ordered & paid for by 5:00PM the day prior to your reservation (pre-order form located in your reservation confirmation email).
  • Picnic dining will utilize single use containers.
  • All picnic diners will be assigned to a picnic seating area (not lawn space).
  • Wine is available by the bottle only.
  • Please keep in mind we do not permit outside food or alcohol anywhere on property.
  • Only one tab permitted per group.

ORDERING FOOD & WINE

We do require the pre-order of picnics by 5PM the day prior to your reservation.  This will help us provide you with a smoother, stress-free, low contact visit.  Once your reservation is confirmed, we will send you a link to pre-order your picnic items.  Your pre-order is not confirmed until a PPW staff member calls you back to collect payment.

Bistro food is not available for pre-order, and can simply be ordered on-site!

Note: wine cakes must be ordered a minimum of 3 days in advance.


SAFETY

  • We have arranged all dining areas to be physically distanced, and we have limited seating.
  • For the safety of all, our staff will be wearing masks while serving.
  • We require all guests to wear a mask if you enter the winery building for any reason (ex. utilize the restroom, check-in/out at the front register, pickup food, etc.)
  • Any guest or staff feeling ill or exhibiting any illness symptoms will not be permitted on-site.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting shall be frequent with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces, such as front desks, door handles, dining & seating areas, handrails, and public restrooms.
  • We have inserted plexiglass to our front register area and marked a physically distanced lines.
  • We are a handshake free zone.
  • By visiting Potomac Point Winery, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.

INCLEMENT WEATHER & CANCELLATION

In the case of inclement weather, we cannot guarantee an indoor seating location.  If it begins to rain or thunderstorm during your visit and we are unable to accommodate your group indoors, you can choose to wait it out in your vehicle or forfeit your visit.  Some reservation locations are rain or shine, as they are in covered areas.  In the case of extreme rain, thunderstorms, extreme temps under 49 degrees or over 95 degrees, we will permit a last-minute weather cancellation with a minimum notice of 2-hours prior to your reservation start time!

Cancellations or changes to your headcount must be made a minimum of 48-hours in advance of your reservation start time directly through Hostme ( or email reservations@potomacpointwinery.com).

Any cancellations made after the 48-hour mark, will owe the cancellation fee of $30 (1-4 guests) or $50 (5-10 guests) depending on the size of your group.


Vineside Pickup & Wine Delivery will still be available for the foreseeable future!  Thank you for your continued support & understanding of our new normal.  We feel this is the best way to keep everyone safe and still allow the enjoyment of our facilities.  For more details, please call 540.446.2251 or email: reservations@potomacpointwinery.com.
