Policies & Guidelines for your visit

We are excited to welcome you back to Potomac Point Winery & Vineyard.  Your safety and the safety of our staff is our highest priority.  We have put together these policies to create a safe environment for your enjoyment, making for a fun-filled day out of the house.

WINERY HOURS OF OPERATION

Outdoor, On-site enjoyment is available by Reservation Only

Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 11AM-6PM

Friday, Saturday: 11AM-9:30PM

Monday: 11AM-6PM Wine & Cheese Trays Only (Kitchen Closed)

Tuesday: CLOSED


RESERVATIONS

Reservations can be made for parties of 1-10 guests and require a credit card to reserve your spot.  All reservations require a minimum spend of $35 per guest 21 and older; this can count towards food & wine consumed on-site or wine purchased to-go.  Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.

There are two types of reservations available: Bistro Service & Picnic Service.  We have several outdoor dining locations.  Each reservation will receive a 2 to 3-hour timeslot to enjoy (dependent on the size of your group); this will allow multiple guests to enjoy our property each day and permit our staff to appropriately clean each seating area between seating’s.  Upon arrival, please check-in with our hostess, and you will be directed to your designated seating area.

Groups of 1-4 Guests = 2 hour timeslot

Groups of 5-7 Guests = 2.5 hour timeslot

Groups of 8-10 Guests = 3 hour timeslot

BISTRO DINING

  • Our bistro menu will be served in our courtyard, veranda, and patio, utilizing regular china, glassware, and flatware.
  • Wine is available by the bottle or glass.
  • Please keep in mind we do not permit outside food anywhere on property.
  • Wine Tastings are not available during Phase 1.
  • Single use menus will be provided upon arrival.
  • An 18% auto-gratuity will be added to all orders; only one tab permitted per group.

PICNIC DINING

  • Our picnic menu will be served in our Picnic Pavilion, Chianti’s Corner, Humidor Hill, Patio, and Merlot Meadow, utilizing single use containers.
  • Wine is available by the bottle only.
  • Please keep in mind we do not permit outside food anywhere on property.
  • Wine Tastings are not available during Phase 1.
  • Single use menus will be provided upon arrival.
  • An 18% auto-gratuity will be added to all orders; only one tab permitted per group.

PICNIC MENU


ORDERING FOOD & WINE

We strongly encourage you to pre-order picnics.  This will help us provide you with a smoother, stress-free, low contact visit.  Once your reservation is confirmed, we will send you a link to pre-order your picnic items.  Pre-orders must be in before 5pm on the day prior to your reservation.  Bistro food is not available for pre-order.  Your pre-order is not confirmed until a PPW staff member calls you back to collect payment.

Note: wine cakes must be ordered a minimum of 3 days in advance.


SAFETY

We have arranged all outdoor picnic & dining areas to be physically distanced, and we have limited seating to 50% capacity.

For the safety of all, our staff will be wearing masks while serving.

We require all guests to wear a mask if you enter the winery building for any reason (ex. utilize the restroom, check-in/out at the front register, pickup food, etc.)

Any guest or staff feeling ill or exhibiting any illness symptoms will not be permitted on-site.

Cleaning and disinfecting shall be frequent with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces, such as front desks, door handles, dining & seating areas, handrails, and public restrooms.

We have inserted plexiglass to our front register area and marked a physically distanced lines.

We are a handshake and hug free zone (except for people that live with you).


INCLEMENT WEATHER & CANCELLATION

In Phase 1 the use of indoor space is prohibited.  In the case of inclement weather, we are not able to change a reservation to provide covered seating day-of.  If it begins to rain or thunderstorm during your visit, you can choose to wait it out in your vehicle or forfeit your visit.

Cancellations or changes to your headcount must be made a minimum of 48-hours in advance of your reservation start time directly through Hostme ( or email reservations@potomacpointwinery.com).

Any cancellations made after the 48-hour mark, will owe the cancellation fee of $30 (1-4 guests) or $50 (5-10 guests) depending on the size of your group.


Vineside Pickup & Wine Delivery will still be available for the foreseeable future!  Thank you for your continued support & understanding of our new normal.  We feel this is the best way to keep everyone safe and still allow the enjoyment of our facilities.
