Policies & Guidelines for your visit: Phase Three {Updated: 09.23.20}

We are excited to welcome you back to Potomac Point Winery & Vineyard.  Your safety and the safety of our staff is our highest priority.  We have put together these policies to create a safe environment for your enjoyment, making for a fun-filled day out of the house.


We are open for Indoor & Outdoor enjoyment at reduced capacity; available by Reservation Only.

Wednesday, Thursday, Sunday: 11AM-6PM

Friday, Saturday: 11AM-9:30PM

Monday: 11AM-6PM Wine & Cheese Trays Only (Kitchen Closed)

Tuesday: CLOSED


Reservations can be made for parties of 1-14 guests and require a credit card to reserve your spot.  Reservations can be made up to 14 days in advance.  Wine tastings are not available during phase 3.

There are two types of reservations available: Bistro Service &  Picnic Self-Service (learn more below).  We have several indoor & outdoor dining locations.  Upon arrival, please check-in with our hostess, and you will be directed to your reserved seating area.

  • Our bistro menu will be served in our Courtyard, Veranda, Patio, Humidor Hill, and indoor D’Vine Lounge.
    • Note: Humidor Hill features Adirondack chairs perfect for couples; this area only includes one small drink table which is not conducive for full-service dining.
  • Bistro dining will utilize regular china, glassware, and flatware.
  • Wine is available by the bottle, glass, or flight.
  • All Friday-Sunday reservations require a minimum spend of $35 per guest 21 and older; this can count towards food & wine consumed on-site or wine purchased to-go.
  • No outside food or alcohol.
  • Large groups of 6+ guests will incur an automatic 20% gratuity on their bill; only one tab permitted per group.
  • We do not permit large groups at two separate tables; social distancing will be enforced, and walking back and forth between tables will not be permitted to keep a comfortable environment for all patrons.
  • Note: wine cakes must be ordered a minimum of 3 days in advance.

  • If you are not able to make your time, PPW will hold your reservation for fifteen minutes.

Groups of 1-4 Guests = 2 hour timeslot

Groups of 5-7 Guests = 2.5 hour timeslot

Groups of 8-10 Guests = 3 hour timeslot



PRO TIP: When you  request a bistro reservation, you will receive an email & text that says your request is “pending approval”.  Once our reservation specialist has a chance to review our openings, they will send a confirmation email, rejection text, or call to see if you are open to shifting time or location.


  • Self-service picnic locations include: Picnic Pavilion, Chianti’s Corner, and Merlot Meadow.
    • Wine & Cheese Tray orders can be placed at the front register.
  • Outside food is permitted at picnic locations.
  • Each picnic table can be rented for a two-hour time slot (maximum of 6 people per table).
    • $40/table Friday – Sunday; fee waived with a purchase of $100 or more.
    • No fee Monday, Wednesday & Thursday with the purchase PPW wine (reservation still required).
  • Wine is available by the bottle only.
  • Please keep in mind we do not permit outside alcohol anywhere on property.
  • Bistro food not available at picnic locations.



  • We have arranged all dining areas to be physically distanced, and we have limited seating.
  • For the safety of all, our staff will be wearing masks while serving.
  • We require all guests to wear a mask if you enter the winery building for any reason.
  • Any guest or staff feeling ill or exhibiting any illness symptoms will not be permitted on-site.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting shall be frequent with an emphasis on frequent contact surfaces.
  • We have inserted plexiglass to our front register area and marked a physically distanced lines.
  • We are a handshake free zone.
  • By visiting Potomac Point Winery, you voluntarily assume all risks related to exposure to COVID-19.


Bistro Cancellations or changes to your headcount must be made a minimum of 24-hours in advance of your reservation start time directly through Hostme ( or email reservations@potomacpointwinery.com).

Any cancellations made after the 24-hour mark, will owe the cancellation fee of $30 (1-4 guests) or $50 (5-10 guests) depending on the size of your group.

In the case of inclement weather, we cannot always guarantee an indoor seating location.  In the case of extreme rain, thunderstorms, extreme temps, we will permit a last-minute weather cancellation with a minimum notice of 2-hours prior to your reservation start time.
