This summer we are introducing five new vintages to our tasting room selections; 2015 La Belle Vie White, 2014 Heritage, 2015 Coyote Cave, 2015 Abbinato and 2015 Dolce Rubus.  See their descriptions below and come on in to taste for yourself!

2015 La Belle vie White is a mix of Vidal, Muscat, Chardonnay, Viognier and Petit Manseng. Our most popular white here at Potomac Point Winery is a crisp and refreshing wine that is perfect for sipping on the patio. We loaded up the varietals to enhance all the fun fruit flavors, this slightly sweet white boasts hint of honeysuckle and orange peel the perfect anytime wine!

2014 Heritage is an expressive fusion of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tannat and Petit Verdot. Our Signature wine is stylistically correct French Bordeaux. It begins with aromas of floral and earthy tones to transition to the tart bing cherry and pomegranate notes. A soft entry of this wine will follow with mid palate velvety tannins. Dry-yet-soft acidity will leave a beautiful lingering finish. This wine’s balance from beginning to end makes this the idea pairing with savory mean and Virginia wild game.

2015 Coyote Cave is a fresh blend of Tempranillo, Cabernet Sauvignon, Touriga, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Syrah.  This excellent wine has flavors of tart cherry, black cherry and plum. The lively acidity drives the flavors while the fine tannins gives support and will leave you wanting more. Fresh with full mid-palate, the wine finishes with a lingering assortment of berry and mineral.

2015 Abbinato is an intense wine with aromas of cherries, rose petals and dried herbs with hints of sweet tobacco. Chambourcin, Touriga, Cab Franc, Sangiovese and Merlot are perfectly blended to produce a silky tannins and a clean refreshing finish.

2015 Dolce Rubus is a beautiful blend of Petit Syrah, Merlot and Petit Verdot. This new wine is sinfully decadent! The nose will know. There is a clear raspberry aroma to invite you in. For those that were ready for a sweeter style ted this is your wine. A splash of raspberry to this medium-bodied blend has offered the perfect balance of fruit berry and wine. It is best enjoyed with a piece of dark chocolate.
