Planning for our 9th Annual Harvest Festival is well underway, so mark your calendars for September 26th because it’s definitely going to be a day to remember! We have a slew of amazing vendors lined up to come show off their creations and plenty of fun activities planned. This year, guest winery Ingleside Vineyards is coming to show off their delicious selection of wines, which you will be able to taste on-site and purchase to take home with you if you fall in love. Check out www.inglesidevineyards.com for more information on their venue, and stay tuned to find out who our surprise second guest winery will be!

In addition to being able to taste our wines and those of our guest wineries, we will have tons of delicious food choices on site to keep you filled up all day long! Our very own Chef Oz has been working hard to come up with a delicious Le Grand Cru menu just for Harvest Festival featuring some delicious fall-time fares that you can order from our Bistro. We will also be hosting Fat Mike’s, a local food truck serving up some delicious gourmet burgers, hot dogs, cheesesteaks, and southern fried treats such as pickles, green beans, and mac and cheese! We will also be hosting a brick oven pizza truck, so don’t fear, there will be something here to satisfy every taste! With that being said, have you ever tried our wine ice cream, made fresh out of our Dolce Rubus raspberry merlot? Are you as in love with it as we are? If so, you’re in luck! Butterfield Ice Cream, a.k.a. the folks who make that delicious treat for us, will be here serving up some of their incredible creations, so bring your sweet tooth! And what could possibly pair better with ice cream than cake? We can’t think of a single thing, so luckily Heaven’s Gate Catering has decided to come out and bring a selection of their amazing pound cakes with them for you to try! Get ready to do some taste testing and if you just can’t get enough, consider joining their Pound Cake of the Month Club!

On top of that, if you’ve ever ordered a cup of coffee in our Bistro and wished you could enjoy that exact same warmth and flavor in the comfort of your own home, you’re in luck because Sharpshooters Coffee will be on site selling their fresh coffee grounds, which we happen to use right here at Potomac Point! Once you’ve had your fill of lunch and/or dessert, there will be plenty of goodies available for you to purchase and take home. VY Goodard and Sprelly will be here at The Point selling their incredible homemade honeys and gourmet nut butters, respectively. The Cottage, the company who makes the beautiful slate cheeseboards that we sell in our gift shop will be here showcasing her creations, which also include some adorable jewelry! Lori Craddock is also very crafty when it comes to jewelry and is bringing along some of her cork and grape themed designs, as well as some delicious fruit jams that she concocts using wine!

Don’t start thinking the fun stops there though; we have plenty in store for your furry friends as well. That’s right, Harvest Festival is totally dog friendly, and the folks from Paddy-Whack will be bringing along some of their incredible homemade dog treats for your pup to enjoy! After all of that, if your sweet tooth still isn’t satisfied, stop by Joy. Bliss. Raw. for a taste of some amazing organic chocolate that’ll certainly leave you wanting more. If you’d like to take something home with you that’ll last a little longer than chocolate or pound cake (come on, we all know you’re gonna eat it that night…) then Bob the Barrel Builder is the man to visit! Most of the barrel furniture pieces you see around The Point, from our bistro tables, to our outdoor fire pit, were his creations, and he will be at Harvest Festival coming up with some one of a kind designs just for you! If you’d like some unique and beautiful barrel décor to keep in your own home, definitely stop by his booth. Many more vendors will be set up for you to peruse from 11:00am-5:00pm.

Along with some amazing vendors for you to peruse, we have plenty of entertainment and activities planned throughout the day! Come out between noon and 4:00pm to hear Pete Baker play some incredible live music, and bring your own lawn chairs and blankets if you’d like to sit and make a concert out of it! We’ve also got the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries coming to teach archery and fishing to kiddos and adults alike, so make sure your outdoorsy side comes with you on the 26th! Aside from all of that, we will be having a moon bounce (for all ages), inflatable skee ball, pumpkin games including bowling and decorating, face painting, grape stomping, and plenty of lawn games to make this year’s Harvest Festival one for the record books! Check out the link here to purchase your tickets now. This event is a popular one so you’ll want to make sure you’re ready to roll when September 26th comes around!
